Obituary for Bernadette Lee "Bonnie" Williams (Tabaka)

OXFORD, CT: Bernadette Lee "Bonnie" Williams, age 73 of Oxford, she entered peaceful rest on December 3, 2017 at her home with her loving daughter Jodi by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Williams. Bernadette was predeceased by her son, Christian Williams. Bonnie was born April 6, 1944 in Derby, daughter of the late Benjamin and Helen (Ziemba) Tabaka. She was a retired Doctor's Assistant and Insurance Agent. Bonnie attended St. Peter's Episcopal Church; she loved animals and caring for people. She was an avid Cribbage player, having played in several leagues. Mrs. Williams also enjoyed reading and travel.

In addition to her daughter Jodi Williams of Oxford, she also leaves her sister, Valerie Kapusta of Fairfield, her brothers, William Tabaka of Oxford, and Gerald and Peter Tabaka both in CT, her granddaughter, Hailey Williams of Oxford, and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Carol DiOrio.

A Memorial Service of Requiem Eucharist will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 421 Oxford Rd. Oxford. There are no calling hours.
