Obituary for Doris M. Drebushenko (Peerman)

OXFORD, CT: Beloved wife and mother, Doris M. Drebushenko, 93 of Oxford, she entered peaceful rest on May 29, 2022 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby; she was the beloved wife of the late Jerry Drebushenko, and mother of Terry Drebushenko of Oxford with whom she resided. Doris was born June 12, 1928 in Fairfield Center, PA, daughter of the late George and Larene (Hoffer) Peerman. Doris was a member of the Great Hill United Methodist Church in Seymour. She was a many faceted lady with many interests, she was a true lover of Swing Era music especially the likes of the Andrews Sisters and the Glenn Miller Orchestra just to name a few; she was an avid golfer and had played many a round at the Woodhaven Country Club in Bethany. Doris enjoyed a good book and was an avid reader. She relished in having her Dunkin and sitting down with a scratch-off or two. She will be fondly remembered for her love of her home and spending time with her loving daughter Terry. In addition to her daughter, Doris leaves her sister, Betty Edkin of Montoursville, PA.

A Graveside Service in celebration of Doris’ life will be Thursday at 10 AM at Great Hill Cemetery, Cemetery Rd., Seymour. There are no calling hours.
