Obituary for Margaret E. Orazietti (Branigan)

Margaret E. Orazietti, 93 of Derby entered peaceful rest on June 22, 2022, she was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late Flavio “Flip” Orazietti. Mrs. Orazietti was born April 19, 1929 in Paisley, Scotland, daughter of the late Henry and Mary (McLaughlin) Branigan. Margaret was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Parish-St. Mary the Immaculate Conception Church, Derby; she formerly worked in the Dietary Department of Griffin Hospital, and also at the former Nature Food Center in Derby and Ansonia. Margaret enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and knitting. She was especially known for her famous potato salad and her delicious sandwiches which family and friends loved to enjoy.

Margaret leaves her loving family including her daughter, Margaret Salazar (Francisco) of Hamden, her sons, Joseph Orazietti (Marianne) of Seymour, Philip Orazietti (Elizabeth) of Derby, Michael Orazietti (Maureen) ofDerby, and Andrew Orazietti (Joyce) of Derby; her grandchildren, Cara Bordonaro (Bryan), Alissa Brown (Kevin), Philip Orazietti (Skye), Jean Orazietti, Alan Orazietti (Latasha), Thomas Orazietti, Michael John Orazietti (Katherine), Nicole Brown (Eric), Brittany Bolorin (Jose), Hugh Salazar, Max Salazar, and Annalisa Salazar; and great grandchildren, Jamie Lynn, Arianna, Michael, Elainna, Joseph, Brody, Valerie, Aubrey, Aurora, A.J., Gabriel, and Analiyah.

Calling Hours are Friday June 24th from 4 to 7 PM at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Church (DIRECTLY), 212 Elizabeth St., Derby. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
