WOODBRIDGE, CT: Elsie Ruth (Bower) Tyler, age 92 of Woodbridge, beloved wife of the late Arnold F. Tyler, entered peaceful rest on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in her home. Born in Derby, CT on July 17, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Bertha (Borsuch) Bower.  

Retired from Sargent & Company, New Haven. Elsie was a talented seamstress caterer, and artist, she was also very active in her community. While living in Sarasota, Florida; Elsie loved to volunteer at Mote Marine and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.
 
Survivors include her loving children, Lynn McConney of Derby, Donna Rosevear and her husband Jack of Darien, Carol Ann Tyler of Westbrook, and Gary Tyler of Sarasota, FL; eight cherished grandchildren and numerous adored great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Arnold, she was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy Jean Tyler.
 
Calling hours will take place on Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, with a prayer service being held at 3:30 pm. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
