Obituary for Barbara Helen Ryan (Zarnowski)
PROSPECT, CT: Barbara Helen (Zarnowski) Ryan, age 83 of Oxford,
beloved wife of the late Richard Alan Ryan, entered peaceful rest on
Monday, September 2, 2019 in the Orange Health Care Center,
Orange. Born in New Haven on May 15, 1936, she was a daughter of
the late Stanley and Catherine (Sadowski) Zarnowski.
An accomplished musician, Barbara was a talented pianist, organist
and vocalist who attended the Boston Conservatory of Music.
Survivors include her loving children, Steven Ryan and his wife Sheila of
VA, Karen Terni and her husband David, Jr. of Prospect, and Christine
Ryan of Oxford; six cherished grandchildren, Sierra, Nikolas, Ashley,
Sydney, David and Meghan, as well as her sister, Beverly Zarnowski of
Southbury.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the
Alzheimer Resource Center, 1261 South Main St., Plantsville, CT 06479.
The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour is entrusted
with her arrangements and all services will be private.
