SEYMOUR, CT: Elizabeth "Betsy" Lobdell, age 77, a lifelong Seymour resident, she entered into peaceful rest on July 30, 2019 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved companion of Frank McKane of Seymour. Betsy was born on July 6, 1942 in Derby, daughter of the late Warren and Doris (Hull) Bice. She was retired from the Southern New England Telephone Co. where she was employed for many years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Betsy also worked for several years as a secretary at Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home. She enjoyed trips to the casino, tag sales, and spending time in New Hampshire. Betsy will always be fondly remembered for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor; she will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

In addition to her companion, Betsy leaves her loving family including her son, Arthur Lobdell of Succasunna, NJ, and her daughter Bonnie Halligan and her husband William of Seymour; her grandchildren, Ben Swendsen, Bill Halligan, and Jack Halligan all of Seymour; a niece, Robin Opekun of Naugatuck, and several cousins. Her brother Warren Bice predeceased her.

Calling Hours will be held Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Funeral Services will be Saturday beginning at 9:00 Am from the funeral home, to Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 Church Street, Seymour for a Service of Requiem Eucharist in celebration of Betsy's life.
