ANSONIA – Joseph J. Kupec, age 88 of Ansonia, beloved husband of the late Maryanne (Vasil) Kupec, entered peaceful rest on Saturday, December 29, 2018 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Stratford on July 9, 1930, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Harchuck) Kupec. The owner of K&T Construction, Joseph was a talented builder of custom homes and loved working with his hands. He lived life to its fullest, vacationing in HI, the vineyards of CA, and Cape Cod. Joseph also enjoyed volunteering his time at the Litchfield Jazz Festival and was an avid Red Sox and UCONN Men’s Basketball fan. Survivors include his loving children, David Kupec of Ansonia, Denise Goodman of NY, Elaine Kupec of Ansonia, Maryanne Radzion of West Haven, and Corinne Vasquez and her husband Robert of Shelton; 7 cherished grandchildren and 7 adored great grandchildren, as well as his beloved companion, Joyce Pogers of Danbury. In addition to his wife, Joseph was predeceased by his son, Philip Kupec.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour. Interment will follow in Mt. Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends may greet the family Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483 prior to services.
