Obituary for Michael J. Palica

Michael J. Palica, age 70 of Danbury, beloved husband of Barbara (Cook) Palica, entered peaceful rest on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in Danbury Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 30, 1948 he was the son of the late Michael Jr. and Helen (Morock) Palica.

An accountant for Western CT State University, Michael spent his time enjoying many things such as music, photography, model railroads, collecting wine, and was an avid reader. He loved to travel and was an expert at navigating the city streets of New York City. But above all else, Michael loved spending time with friends and family.

In addition to his beloved wife Barbara of 26 years, he is survived by his sisters, Patricia Petito and her husband Charles of AZ, and Barbara Maffia of NY; sister-in-law, Carolyn Gori of Seymour; brother-in-law, Harry Cook and his wife Ann of MD, as well as many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 2pm to 4pm in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11 a.m. DIRECTLY in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour. Memorial donations in Michael's name can be made to a charity of your choice.
