Olivia "Libby" C. Russell of The Jewish Home for the Elderly in Bridgeport, CT, passed away August 11, 2019, after a lengthy illness in Bridgeport. She was born January 18, 1942, in Bridgeport, CT, to Genevieve and Hilding Thornfeldt. She graduated in 1960 from Masuk High School, Monroe, CT. Libby was a truly unique woman who enjoyed antiquing, decorating, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by a daughter Johnna Ann (Rick) Mullen of Oxford, Ct. and a son, H. Pierce (Tracie Pavlik) Wrabel of Fairfield, Ct., grandsons John and Joseph Mullen, a sister Peggy A. Knopf of Addison, NY. , and special friend Wayne Parent. She was predeceased by her husband, James Shelley Russell; a son, John H. Wrabel Jr.; and a sister Lorraine M. Clark. She will be laid to rest with a memorial service at 'Angels' Gate' family cemetery in Rathbone, NY, at the convenience of the family. The Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour is entrusted with the arrangements.
